Applications of XRF & XRD for Inspection and Non-Destructive Testing
X-ray fluorescence (XRF) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) have extensive applications in the inspection services market. They are useful forms of non-destructive testing (NDT). This talk will explore the basics of XRF theory, and the application of XRF for positive material identification (PMI) and weld inspection. Special attention will be given to relevant applications of this technology in the oil and gas (O&G) sector. Strategies and tools for data management will also be discussed.
